How you can help

Currently, we need the following the most:

Media. We need media free of a commercial license or royalty requirements. The images used on this site were obtained using the Google "Creative License" search feature and royalty-free search websites. We do not have the time to connect with the individual community members to request permission. We'd appreciate it if you could send us photos or videos of examples of Familiar Shar Pei Fever. Please use info@sharpeiFSF and include a clear message specifying the media in question is available to use without license or royalty fees.

Recommendations for Shar Pei specialist veterinarians in your area, wherever you are on the globe. We will use this information to create an interactive map as we know the frustration of rushing and googling for hours while our four-legged friends are in pain.

Personal stories to be featured under the "Story/Testimony" section. Feel free to share as much as possible with the community so that the information can be helpful to people in a similar situation. For the stories to be selected, they need to be about Shar Pei afflicted by Familiar Shar Pei Fever. Photos and videos are beneficial, but not required if you prefer to stay fully anonymous.

Volunteers. Currently, this site was created and administered by only one person. We need committed volunteers with a platform (a WhatsApp/Signal/Matrix group, a Twitter/Minds/Gab account, a Nextdoor page, a subreddit, a forum, or even the capacity to print and legally post flyers at your local vet) to spread the message. To do so, email us with what you can offer the community and spread awareness.

Some of you have kindly offered to donate. We appreciate this and are in the process of creating an official Foundation to raise awareness around this issue. It will eventually be possible to provide donations as part of an organization with 100% transparent accounting, but we want this to be done properly, and it might take time.
